Fresh bright Gippsland Lakes Chardonnay with stone fruit, citrus and mineral notes. 

Everything an unwooded chardonnay should be: bracing, fresh and long in the mouth. Grapefruit and stone fruit intermingling before the crisp, clean finish, tensioned and lengthened by lingering natural acidity.

We wanted this wine to over-deliver but not overcomplicate, so the lion’s share was fermented with temperature control in stainless steel for a clean, fresh expression and to retain the natural aromatics. A small amount of oak was used for maturation, to add gentle texture and aromatic complexity. The wine was kept on its fermentation lees for six months with periodic lees stirring for a touch more weight and better mouthfeel.
